To setup a local client (for example: Microsoft Outlook) It will require your user name, password, SMTP setting, and POP3 setting. The SMTP settings will be (for example) mail.yourdomain.com and the POP3 settings will be mail.yourdomain.com. My Server Requires Authentication must be checked.
If you or a client has problems sending Email (SMTP) from a local system and you are using Yahoo, SBC or another carrier they may require an alternate port (some stopped using port 25 trying to slow down their SPAM problems) or the internet carrier’s SMTP server settings.
Port 587 under advanced settings can be used with SCi's Email servers as an alternative port.
